Bugbee Senior Center – Telephone Connect Program

Across the Upper Valley, older adults are increasingly homebound, leading to being lonely. Talking on the phone with a friendly caller is an appealing option to combat feelings of loneliness.  At the Bugbee Senior Center we are starting a program we call Telephone Connect, which connects a friendly volunteer with a homebound senior.  Telephone Connect is a simple yet effective way to promote social connection and address senior loneliness.

Do you know somebody who would like to receive a friendly call?  Are you a caregiver – or do you know a caregiver — looking for peace of mind for a loved one?  The Bugbee Senior Center provides the Telephone Connect program in the Upper Valley and is looking for homebound seniors who may want to combat loneliness by speaking to a friendly volunteer.  If you know someone who may want to try Telephone Connect, contact Susan Manley at the Bugbee Senior Center, susan@bugbeecenter.org or 802-295-9068
